Train the Facilitating Trainer
Train the Facilitating Trainer
Course Overview
This course is designed for professionals who wish to become facilitators and deliver the one-day Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training to other professionals in the sector.
The training is delivered by qualified Skills Provider trainers and co-facilitated by an autistic co-trainer and a co-trainer with a learning disability, ensuring a blend of professional expertise and lived experience.
Only lead trainers are authorised to train facilitators and co-trainers with lived experience to deliver the Tier 2 one-day programme. These lead trainers bring extensive experience in the field of learning disabilities and autism and in delivering Tier 2 training on behalf of NHS England.
Please note: attendance at the Train the Facilitating Trainer course does not guarantee certification. Participants must actively demonstrate their knowledge and confidence in learning disability and autism, engage fully in discussions and activities, and complete quality assessments to show competence in delivering both the learning disability and autism sessions. Certification is awarded only upon successful demonstration of these competencies.
